Your balance goes up when Stripe confirms the payment to us — not when the checkout page closes. That's usually a matter of seconds, but occasionally it takes longer.
Deposit statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
pending |
You started checkout and we're waiting for Stripe to confirm the payment. |
completed |
Stripe confirmed it. The amount is in your balance and your ledger. |
failed |
The payment didn't go through or the checkout session expired. Nothing was added, and nothing was charged. |
Checklist
- Reload the Billing page. Most deposits complete within seconds of paying.
- Did you finish checkout? If you closed Stripe's page before paying, the deposit stays pending until the session expires, then it's marked failed.
- Some payment methods confirm later. If your payment needs extra time to clear, the deposit stays pending until Stripe tells us whether it succeeded.
- You'll never be credited twice. Each payment is credited exactly once, even if Stripe notifies us more than once.
Still missing?
If you were charged and the deposit is still pending an hour later, email support@passcode.sh with the amount and the time you paid. Never send us your card number — we don't need it.
