I didn't receive a code

A checklist for when the SMS doesn't arrive — and the reassurance that you won't pay for an order that never gets one.

  5. Still nothing?

First, the important part: you don't pay for an order that never receives an SMS. Cancel it, or let it expire after 20 minutes, and the full price goes back to your balance.

Now, to actually get the code:

1. Check the service really sent it

Most "missing" codes were never sent. Look at the app or site you're verifying with:

  • Did it accept the number, or show something like "invalid number" or "this number can't be used"? If it refused the number, no SMS is coming — see Why some apps reject some numbers.
  • Did you pick the right country in its form? A US number entered under another country code is a different number.
  • Did it send the code somewhere else — a voice call, an email, or an app you're already signed in to? passcode.sh numbers receive SMS only.

2. Give it a moment

Check the quote's typical delivery time. Some routes are slower than others, and some services hold messages briefly. The console updates live, so there's no need to refresh.

3. Ask for a resend

Many services have a "resend code" link. A resent message arrives on the same order as long as the order is still active.

4. Cancel and try again

If nothing has arrived after a few minutes, cancel the order (full refund) and order again — ideally in another country or from a different offer. A different number often works where the first didn't.

Tip

The Best strategy favours offers with higher success rates. See Understanding quotes.

Still nothing?

If one service fails again and again across countries, email support@passcode.sh with the order IDs (they start with ord_). It helps us spot routes that aren't working.
