An active order collects every SMS sent to its number, not just the first. If a service asks you to verify twice, or you press "resend", the new message arrives on the same order at no extra cost.

How it works

  • Messages are attached while the order is waiting or received, within its 20-minute window.
  • The console highlights the latest code, with every message listed underneath.
  • With webhooks set up, each new message sends its own order.code_received event.

Don't finish too early

Finishing an order ends it straight away and releases the number. If you might need another code — say the service has a second verification step — wait until you're completely through before you finish.

Note

An order that has received a message completes on its own when its window closes, so there's no harm in leaving it open until you're sure.

After the window closes

Once the order expires or completes, new messages to that number no longer reach you. If you expect to need the number again later, use a rental instead.
