A one-time order gives you a number for one service for 20 minutes. A rental gives you a number for 7, 30 or 90 days, for any service, and collects every SMS sent to it in an inbox.
Order or rent?
| One-time order | Rental | |
|---|---|---|
| How long | 20 minutes | 7, 30 or 90 days |
| Services | One | Any |
| Messages | Attached to the order | Collected in the rental's inbox |
| If nothing arrives | Refunded automatically | Refundable within 10 minutes of renting, if no SMS has arrived |
| Renewal | — | Optional auto-renew |
Good reasons to rent:
- You'll need to log in again later, and the service texts a code every time.
- You want codes from several services on one number.
- You're testing your own product's SMS flows over days, not minutes.
What a rental isn't
A rented number receives SMS. It can't send messages, and it can't make or receive calls.
Availability and price
Prices are set per country and period, and you see the price before you pay. During the beta, rentals use demo inventory only.
