passcode.sh is in a private beta. Until our carrier registration is finished, we run in a deliberately limited mode. Here's exactly what that means.

Why it's limited

Before we resell real phone numbers, we're completing the registrations carriers require for robocall and abuse mitigation. We've committed not to resell numbers until that's done, and we're keeping that commitment. Until then:

  • New sign-ups join a waitlist. Join it here and we'll email you when accounts open. Existing accounts keep working.
  • Real carrier numbers aren't on sale — for one-time orders or rentals. Demo inventory is switched off too, so nothing can be ordered or rented until launch.
  • Adding funds is paused for most beta accounts. The Billing page tells you if that applies to you.
  • Payments run in Stripe test mode. No real card is charged and no real money moves.

What works today

Existing accounts can sign in, look back through their order history and ledger, and set up API keys and webhooks ahead of launch. Ordering and renting numbers open once real numbers go on sale: until then quotes come back empty, and the API answers orders and rentals with no_inventory or not_available.

Note

If the API answers not_available (HTTP 403), you've asked for inventory that isn't on sale to your account during the beta — usually a specific carrier offer, or a rental in a country only the carrier covers.

When does it open?

When registration is complete. We'd rather not guess at a date here; people on the waitlist hear first.
